Since 1969, we have been a driving force behind innovation. What once started as contract manufacturing of mechanical parts has today evolved into design and manufacturing of advanced machines for spring coiling.
With knowledge and production under one roof, we develop unique spring coiling machines that help world-leading companies realize their potential and transformation.

Tekda is a world-leading supplier of complete solutions for ‘in-line’ coiling. Our vision is that our in-line coiling technology should be the dominant manufacturing process for high volumes of manufacturing of precision springs. In this way, we will contribute to our customers’ success and shape the innovations of the future.
TeknoDetaljer becomes Tekda
In March 2025 TeknoDetaljer i Järfälla AB changed its name to Tekda AB. This transition marks an important step in our journey, and we are optimistic about the future of Tekda and the opportunities that lie ahead.
We believe that Tekda is now better positioned than ever to deliver innovative solutions to our customers. Our dedicated team remains committed to providing the high-quality spring coiling systems and services you have come to expect, building on over 50 years of excellence in automation and manufacturing.
The brands TeknoDetaljer and COLOMBI will become one new brand: Tekda. This means that spring coiling machines and spring separators BIG, MINI and MICRO previously marketed as COLOMBI separators from now on will carry the brand Tekda.
What does this mean? Rest assured, this change of company name will not result in any significant alterations. There will be no change in control of the company, and we will continue to pursue our strategy of becoming a leading partner in spring coiling solutions.

Small footprint
By procuring a spring coiling system from Tekda you will get a ”miniature” ~2 m² “spring factory”. The ultra compact in-line heat treatment eliminates the need of investing in a large oven for heat treatment of the produced springs.
Easier design process
Opting for a Tekda spring coiling system allows you to eliminate detangling concerns from your spring design and factory automation processes. This enables you to concentrate solely on achieving optimal performance for your end product without any distractions.

Logistics, costs and environmental benefits
Choosing an in-line coiling machine from Tekda will lead to lower logistics and handling costs compared to sourcing springs. It is an eco-friendly solution, since it eliminates the need for transporting bulky, lightweight springs. Most likely the unique heat treatment technology of Tekda will be a more energy efficient way to perform heat treatment compared with a conventional oven solution.
Quality control
The springs in a Tekda C4 coiling machine are handled in a closed system, significantly reducing the risk of contamination. All springs produced are 100% approved, with comprehensive oversight from wire to final product.
